Are you ready to develop your product idea?

Products are everywhere. Many (an increasing number) have electronics built into them. Whatever stage you are at, it may be a good idea to talk to an experienced electrical or electronics designer. All products start as an idea. There are many stages between the idea and the product for sale. You don't have to sort out everything and every stage before you start, although good planning and preparation is a positive factor. In a sea of products, your product needs to differentiate itself from its competitors, and microcontrollers help add the features to achieve that.

Your business plan.  

When you put your business plan together, allow adequate money for development through the necessary stages. Many products require several stages in the initial product development process- for example,
1. a conceptual prototyping stage- make the thing work, see what issues arise from the         reality and compare the actual product with the concept in use.
2. a prototype to "iron out" potential manufacturing problems.
3. designing for a short initial production run (alpha run).

Successful prototypes we have made - a sample:   

a) a new type of kitchen appliance involving waste disposal - Trace Technology developed the electrical and electronic controls from a conceptual prototype made by another firm to a pre-production prototype designed to pass international safety and EC compliance, including lead free solder and RoHS components. 

b) Sound Sign circuit boards, a technically successful product which stores and plays back voice and sound. Probably the product you have most likely come across as it is in many large publicly accessible car parks (airports, city) and museums. 

c) Timer boards and displays for the Vibration Training machines.

d) A short sample list of products from our long history - many  manufactured in quantities and some not- Vmon voltage monitors for older Maui camper vans (over 1000 made), vending machine interface boards for Vend-It machines (hundreds made),  Humidification controllers (Humi boards) for Carrier Zonepak,  motor speed boards, alarms for under floor heating.
